    Forms

    Asking several things at once, inside WhatsApp, and where the answers land.

    Some things are a form, not a conversation. An address, a date and a time are three questions that a customer would rather fill in on one screen than answer one at a time.

    The form opens inside WhatsApp. What they fill in comes back as answers the bot can use, and lands in Form Responses.

    Making one

    Forms are built in the project, under WhatsApp Forms, and sent from a bot step or from the chat composer. A form has to be published before a bot can send it.

    Where the answers go

    Two places, and they are the same answers:

    • Form Responses, in the project menu, is every submission with the fields as a table.
    • The bot, which can read the answers in its next steps and save the ones it needs to keep.

    A bot can also start on a form being submitted, so a form somebody filled in yesterday can be what begins the conversation today.

    A form sent for an order collects the delivery address for that order, so what the customer fills in becomes part of the order rather than a separate record to match up later.
