    Products and orders

    Sending what you sell, keeping a cart, and putting it into Orders.

    A bot can send products from your catalog, keep what the customer picks in a cart, and turn the cart into an order without anybody typing it out again.

    Placing the order sends nothing by itself. It puts the cart into Orders, and the next step is what the customer reads.

    The pieces

    1. A catalog

      Your products live under Catalogs in the project, synced with the catalog Meta holds for your WhatsApp number. A bot can send one product, a list, a carousel, or the whole catalog.

    2. A cart

      Picking a product adds it to the cart, so one conversation can end in one order with several things in it.

    3. An order

      Placing the order puts the cart into Orders, with whatever the bot collected: the delivery details, the payment method, the notes.

    What your team sees

    Orders from the bot appear in the same list as orders your team creates from a chat, with the conversation they came from attached. Opening one shows the products, the customer and the status, and changing the status is what the customer is told about.

    Placing an order is a step that sends nothing. Write the message the customer reads after it, and say the order number in it, so they have something to quote when they ask about it.
