Templates

The WhatsApp message templates saved to a project.

WhatsApp only lets a business start a conversation, or write after 24 hours of silence, with a template Meta has approved. These tools read the templates saved to a project in Oleon Workspace.

Text inside a template, such as its body, passes through the same redaction as message text and arrives as [redacted] (N chars). The template's name, language, category, structure and required variables are returned as they are.

list_templates

The templates saved to a project.

Start here when a broadcast or an automated message has stopped sending: a template that has been switched off, or one whose variables a send is not filling, is the usual cause.

Ask it things like

"Which templates does acme-store have, and which are active?"
"Is there a template for order updates in Sinhala?"

get_template

One template in full: its name, language and category, the components it is built from, whether it is active, and the parameters a send must supply.

Use it after list_templates when you need to know exactly what a send has to fill in.
