MCP server

One endpoint that gives an MCP client the same view of your workspace you have in the app.

The Oleon MCP server exposes Oleon Workspace to AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol. Your assistant brings its own model; Oleon provides the tools it calls and decides, on every call, what you are allowed to see.

Any client that can connect to a remote MCP server over HTTP works. Clients that only launch local servers can reach it through a bridge, described in Connect a client.

What it can do

The tools cover the parts of the workspace people most often need to ask about:

Orders and catalog

Filter orders by stage, payment, assignee or customer. Check products and catalog sync.

Conversations

Who is waiting, what was said, and whether a message was delivered.

Templates

WhatsApp template approval status and rejection reasons.

Audit trail

Who changed what in a project, and when.

Bot Studio

Read your flows and their versions, and draft a new version for review.

Orientation

Which account is connected, and which projects it can reach.

What it cannot do

The server reads, and makes one kind of change: create_flow_version saves a draft Bot Studio version. Everything else is out of reach, not because a check refuses it, but because no tool for it exists:

It cannot send a message, reply to a customer or start a broadcast.
It cannot change an order, a product, a template, a label or a setting.
It cannot edit an existing flow version, and it cannot publish one. A person does that in Bot Studio.

A drafted flow version is saved to your project and is visible to your team in Bot Studio, marked as drafted through MCP. It does not affect live traffic until someone publishes it.

It acts as you

A connection carries no permissions of its own. Each call is checked against your memberships at the moment it runs, exactly as the app checks a page you open:

You see the enterprises, organizations and projects you belong to, and nothing else.
If your role restricts part of a project, the matching tools are refused for that project.
If your access changes, every connection you have follows within seconds.

Private by default

Assistants send what they read to the model provider behind them, so the server holds back what most questions do not need. Message text arrives as [redacted] (42 chars), phone numbers keep their last four digits, and links to attachments are removed. An assistant can ask for message text on a specific call, and that call is recorded in the audit log. See Privacy and redaction.

Oleon Support

Oleon Support, the assistant inside Oleon Workspace, answers from the same tools with the same rules. Anything it can tell you in the app, your own assistant can tell you over MCP.
