Catalog and POS

Beta

One catalog. Every place you sell.

Products, variants, add-ons and prices, kept by you rather than copied from a channel. The till sells from it, the chat sells from it, and each product sells only where you say.

In beta. Not every part described here is switched on yet, so read it as what it will do.

Every product, in one list. Yours, not a copy of a channel's.

Point of sale

A till, not just a list.
From the same list the chat sells from.

The till. Big tiles, categories and a barcode scan. A product with options or add-ons asks before it goes in, because guessing which one somebody meant is worse than asking.

The cart. Quantities, a discount as its own line, and a total the server prices again from the catalog when the order is placed.

An example sale: a sage steel water bottle, gift wrapped, two ceramic mugs and a canvas tote bag scanned by barcode, with a 10% discount, placed as one order.

Products

Everything a product can hold.
A real menu, or a real rack.

  • Options and variants. Size and colour, each variant with its own price.

  • Add-on groups. Reusable, with a rule for how many a customer may pick.

  • Categories. The list grouped the way the counter thinks.

  • Taxes. Set on the catalog, not typed into every price.

  • Barcodes. Scan at the till and the product is found.

  • Brands. File products by who makes them.

  • Photos. Several on a product, in the order you choose.

  • Import. Bring a list in from a spreadsheet.

  • Publish per channel. WhatsApp, your public page, or neither.

  • Connect a store. Shopify or WooCommerce keeps the products.

  • Orders from a chat. The team builds the order from the same list.

  • Draft and archived. Draft until it is ready, archived when it is gone.

Ownership

Yours, not the channel’s.
Publishing is a choice.

A channel decides what it will let you sell there. The catalog does not have to agree: a pharmacy keeps its prescription lines here and never sends them out, and everything else goes where it belongs.

Questions

Before you ask.

The ones we hear most about Catalog and POS. If yours is not here, the answer is a message away.

Do you take a cut of what we sell?

No. Payment goes from your gateway to you, and Oleon never holds the money.

We already have an online store. Does this replace it?

It does not have to. The default is that your store owns the products and Oleon keeps a read-only copy, so nobody edits the same product in two places.

Can somebody order from the public page without signing in?

Yes. The order becomes real when it arrives from the conversation carrying its code, which is what keeps invented carts out of your inbox.

What about products a channel will not allow?

Mark them as yours only and they are never published anywhere. The catalog holds them, the till sells them, and the channel never sees them.

It starts with one conversation.

Bring the channels you already answer on into one place, and see what the rest of the week looks like.
