Deals
BetaA pipeline that knows where the conversation came from.
A deal in most tools is typed in by hand after the fact, by the person who least wants to. Here it starts in the conversation that produced it, keeps its history, and settles against the order that closed it.
In beta. Not every part described here is switched on yet, so read it as what it will do.
People
One customer, however many numbers.
Everything else depends on it.
Three half records become one.
The numbers and accounts a person writes from are linked to one contact. Merging two records keeps a record of the merge.
The business behind the person.
Company accounts for when a person is not the buyer. Contacts who belong to nobody stay simple.
Won
Won is an order, not a checkbox.
And the history cannot be rewritten.
A deal links to the order it produced, once, so the pipeline's revenue is the revenue in the books. Every move between stages is kept, with who made it.
Tasks
The follow-up is somebody’s job.
With a name and a time on it.
Every task has an owner and a due time, and it appears in their day. Sending the message and finishing the task are two separate facts.

Questions
Before you ask.
The ones we hear most about Deals. If yours is not here, the answer is a message away.
Do we have to use it to use the inbox?
No. Contacts and conversations work as they do today. A pipeline is something you turn on when you have a sale worth tracking.
Is a deal the same as an order?
No, and keeping them apart is the point. An order is what was bought. A deal is the pursuit of it, and it links to the order once, so nobody counts the same money twice.
What happens to a customer who loses a deal?
Nothing. A single lost deal cannot quietly downgrade somebody who has bought from you before, which is a way real pipelines corrupt real customer records.
